Indian Refractory Makers Association has been successfully organizing the India International Refractories Congress (IREFCON) for successive years. Over the years, IREFCON emerged as a unique rendezvous of refractories makers, raw material suppliers, steel and other user industries, technology solution providers etc. Today it stands as one of the most prominent happenings of the global refractories events calendar.

Buoyed by the success of IREFCON, a need was felt to organize a student version of the event where the focus would be to nurture fresh talents for the industry. Indian refractory industry is growing at a steady space for which it demands a steady supply of quality human resource. It will be no gain saying to state that of the 5’M’s of classical management, manpower is the most precious one as it is the key driver for innovative ideas, crucial decision making and shop floor level skills(specially for technology driven industry like refractories).
